Margaret Ellis - Entrepreneur
Margaret Ellis is the Co-Founder of She Rises Collective: Indigenous Women in Business, and Co-Founder of Kenco Tribal Marketing Initiative, a full-service marketing and procurement agency serving tribal business enterprises. Margaret and her husband own the apparel company Mirax, LLC since 2011.
In, 2010 she achieved the National Center for American Indian Enterprise Development 40 under 40 award recognizing Native American citizens for outstanding leadership and community contributions annually. Margaret provides consulting services for organizations such as the National Congress of American Indians, Bright Path Strong, Indian Gaming Association, Native American Basketball Invitational Foundation, and the Oneida Nation of Wisconsin in the areas of wholesale apparel, event planning and coordination, program development and management, strategic planning, capital campaign, internal audit and compliance, expense reporting, marketing, Oneida language translation, and outreach.
In addition to her professional career, Margaret is currently a doctoral candidate at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. Her research includes creating healthy economic entrepreneurial ecosystems grounded in place and space through the development and empowerment of Indigenous Women Entrepreneurship.
