The Tribal Behavioral Health: Native Connections grant is issued from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services (SAMHSA) under the Department of Health and Human Services.

Coordination among youth-serving programs in AI/AN communities; and
Tribal leadership support in reducing suicidal behavior and substance misuse among Native youth up to age 24
This grant requires: Conducting and developing a 1. community needs assessment, 2. community readiness assessment, 3. tribal strategic action plan, 4. “postvention” protocols, and other expectations.
