Natural Resources, Agriculture, and Climate Change Resilience & Adaptation (Virtual Informational Session)

Brief Description: With the reemergence of tribal and Native control over their natural resources and arable and grazing lands, tribal enterprises and Native small businesses have also emerged and diversified with new sources of funding and capital available to at least partially meet growing demand. This session will address how agriculture and natural resource extraction and management activities with Native lands are increasingly shifting from non-tribal/non-Native control and how this shift has created an array of new opportunities for individuals and tribal/Native communities to grow businesses on lands previously leased to largely non-Native producers.
